Secondary Schools; 'Behind the Scenes' tour for VCE Studio Arts Art Industry Contexts

Tour duration: 60 minutes

VCE Studio Arts Unit 4, outcome 3 Art Industry Contexts.

Virtual tour (looks like a Google street view of the inside of the gallery).

Topics covered in this tour include:

- the role of MGA as a public gallery - role of the Curator in the conception, presentation and display of artworks in an exhibition - exhibition installation and design - publicity/marketing, funding and sponsorship - preservation and conservation practices including a 'visit' to the gallery storage area (still images - focus on specific artworks within the exhibition
